Our Services are built to help ranchers, producers, and seedstock operations make better herd decisions using genetic testing and data analytics. We aim to be transparent about what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, or is capable of being associated with you, your livestock operation, or the animals you manage (“Personal Information”). This can include personal details (like name and contact information), herd management data, and animal genetic data (including DNA samples and genetic traits).

• Account and Contact Information: Your name, ranch/company name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and other account profile details you choose to provide.  
• Herd Management and Livestock Data: Information regarding your herd and operation, including animal ID numbers, breed, age, sex, parentage details (when provided), performance history, production records, health/treatment notes (if you input them), and management preferences.  
• Animal Genetic Data and Biological Samples: DNA samples provided via tissue, blood, or semen, and the resulting genetic information derived from testing (e.g., parentage results and genetic traits/markers included in your reports).  
• Communications: Information you provide when you contact us for support, provide feedback, or otherwise communicate with us.  
• Financial Information: Payment details and billing information processed through our secure third-party payment processors.

B. Information Collected via Technology

• Usage Data: Details of your visits to our platform, including traffic data, log data, and the resources that you access.  
• Device Information: Information about your computer or mobile device and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type.

• Genetic Insights and Breeding Recommendations: To produce parentage results, productivity and trait reports, benchmarking, and selection/breeding recommendations based on the information you submit and the results returned from testing.  
• Platform Improvement and AI Model Development: To refine our AI models and analytics, improve prediction accuracy, troubleshoot, and develop new features. Where practical, we use de-identified and/or aggregated data for these purposes.  
• Database Management: We aggregate anonymized and/or de-identified data into our livestock database (currently exceeding 1.5 million animals) to provide industry benchmarking and improved genomic insights.  
• Communication: To provide technical support, send service updates, security notices, and share educational materials regarding herd optimization.  
• Compliance, Safety, and Enforcement: To fulfill legal obligations, protect the security and integrity of our Services, prevent fraud or misuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.

AgBoost does not sell your personal information. We share information only as described in this Privacy Policy, including the following circumstances:

• Third-Party DNA Testing Laboratories: We share biological samples and necessary identifiers with accredited genetic testing laboratories to perform DNA analysis and return results to us for delivery through the Services.  
• Service Providers (Including Cloud Providers): We may share data with contractors and service providers who support our business (e.g., cloud hosting and storage, analytics, customer support tools, and payment processing). These providers are authorized to use information only as needed to provide services to us and are expected to protect it.  
• Aggregated/De-Identified Data: We may share anonymized, aggregated, and/or de-identified data that does not reasonably identify you, your specific operation, or specific animals for research, industry analysis, benchmarking, or marketing purposes.  
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of AgBoost, our customers, or others.  
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as a business asset, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal information, herd data, and animal genetic information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, and may include encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and monitoring.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Samples: Unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, biological samples may be destroyed after testing is completed and data is digitized.  
• Data: We retain genetic data and livestock records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with historical analytics and breeding trends.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: The right to request access to (and copies of) your personal data and genetic reports.  
• Correction/Update: The right to request that we correct or update information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete.  
• Deletion: The right to request that we erase your personal data, subject to certain exceptions (such as information we must keep for legal compliance, billing/tax records, dispute resolution, or to protect the security and integrity of our Services). If you request deletion, certain historical analytics may no longer be available.  
• Opt-Out of Marketing: You may opt out of receiving promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions in our emails. Even if you opt out, we may still send non-promotional messages (e.g., service notices, receipts, or security updates).
